SOSV Cross-Border Internet (MOX and Chinaccelerator) is looking for a Partnership Analyst to join the Corporate Relations Team. The Partnership Specialist  will be responsible for working alongside with our startups and corporate partners to synergize innovative ways of collaboration and expansion globally.

SOSV is the world’s leading early-stage investor with US$1B in assets under management. SOSV Cross-Border Internet consists of Chinaccelerator and MOX—deeply resourced startup development programs for both enterprise-tech and consumer-tech, with over 230 corporate partners and over 100M consumers in our ecosystem.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • The progress of the SOSV Cross-Border portfolios’ business development and expansion through regular check-ins, business materials discussion, partner matchmaking, market entry support, and deal closing
  • Developing business across corporate partners and the fortune 500 companies to drive collaboration for our startups across the globe
  • Managing portfolios and partners, and keeping abreast of portfolios and partners’ business strategies and focus
  • Representing SOSV Cross-Border’s value-add to startups and partners

Your responsibilities will be:

  • -Supporting SOSV cross-border portfolios with business material preparations, tracks associated partner conversations and update business related informations
  • Timely tracking of portfolios’ business progress to pitch to relevant partners for interest engagement
  • All aspects of partnership launches and portfolio management, working closely with relevant cross-functional teams
  • Reporting and measuring overall success of partner activities
  • Tracking and executing new opportunities with partners in conjunction with regional development leads
  • Update internal team and startups on latest industry trends, with insights and recommendations via presentations
  • Organizing and managing startup business development module and relevant events

In three months you will

  • be familiar with SOSV, our portfolio and partner networks
  • be familiar of the our target market/regional resources
  • be familiar with the current portfolios’ pitches and focus, materials and approach for SOSV Cross-Border
  • have participated in multiple meetings with startups and partners, internally and departmentally
  • ability to operate and update internal tracking systems on portfolio and partner engagements
  • matchmaking portfolio to portfolio business engagements
  • ability to pitch portfolios’s business potential to corporate partners
  • know how we help startups in Partnerships and MOX ecosystem

In six months you will

  • have experienced at least 2 key startup modules and understand our program structure
  • developed negotiation and relationship management skills
  • identify and develop potential partner prospects
  • ability to organize startup business development module, and support business roadshows

We are looking for people who:

  • Over 2 years working experience in an external-facing customer interaction role with customer support, sales, and/or relationship development
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills who are comfortable meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated record of proactively improving processes
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive in taking on initiatives
  • Willing to help others wherever possible
  • Have a passion for startups and venture capital

The successful candidate has

  • Hands on experience in international business development, strategy, product marketing or account management
  • Excited by innovation, entrepreneurship and serving startups
  • A work hard and play hard attitude
  • Native in Mandarin, fluent in English
