SOSV Cross-Border Internet (MOX and Chinaccelerator) is looking for a Strategic Partnership Specialist located in Taipei, Taiwan to join the Partnership/BD team. The Strategic Partnership Specialist will be a pillar on the team focused on partner account management, government/investor relation and to best leverage them for supporting SOSV Cross-Border Internet portfolio entering global markets across Southeast Asia, India, Pakistan, Latin America, to name a few. The Partnerships team works with SOSV’s startups and partners, helping startups build business proposals, and develop relationships to deliver innovative solutions for corporate to engage.

As a Business Development Specialist (BD) under the Partnership team, you’ll help our startups to grow and expand their business presence with our global partners. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to nurture and grow these startups together. BD has the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with our top partners.

Moreover, You will cultivate these existing and new partnerships to make sure they can take full potential of SOSV cross-border internet’s ever-growing portfolios. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our portfolios, startups’ products and services.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Developing business across corporate partners and the fortune 500 companies to drive collaboration for our startups across the globe
  • Managing partners’ accounts and keeping abreast of partners’ business strategies and focus
  • Tracking and executing new opportunities with partners in conjunction with regional development leads and corporate innovation teams
  • Monitoring and analyzing industry trends, providing insights and recommendations, communicating these through presentations and documentation
  • Managing tasks, timelines, and activities related to update SOSV’s portfolios sales activities and business marketing materials

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Leveraging market insights to develop and execute marketing plans
  • Supporting SOSV cross-border startups with business development and strategic partnerships to close deals
  • All aspects of partnership launches and account management, working closely with relevant cross-functional teams
  • Reporting and measuring overall success of partner activities

In a year you will…

  • Be familiar with SOSV, our portfolio and strategic partners
  • be familiar and in charge of our target market/regional resources
  • be familiar and manage SOSV Cross-Border government and partner network
  • be familiar and start guiding the current portfolio pitches, sales materials and approach for SOSV cross-border and partner network
  • have participated in multiple meetings with startups and partners, internally and departmentally
  • well developed negotiation and relation management skills

  • Effective problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated record of proactively improving processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation planning and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in an external-facing customer interaction role with customer support, sales, and/or relationship development
  • Excited by innovation, entrepreneurship and serving startups
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Chinese fluently

The successful candidate has…

  • Experience in business development, strategy, or product marketing, on a startup/corporate is preferred
