Chris Baker has 14 years experience in digital media, advertising and brand strategy in China. Prior to launching Totem he lead the digital media practice at MediaCom China as Vice President and head of interaction. Earlier, he built Eight Partnership/Custom Media as partner/owner into one of the most respected brand and content agencies in greater China. At Eight, he lead the growth of the business into mainland China, helping international brands with brand strategy, content and digital solutions.
He has done digital work in China for brands including; Nokia, Dell, P&G, Volkswagen, Swatch Group, Godiva, Taobao/Alibaba, Audi, GSK, China Unicom, Montblanc and Apple. On behalf of Totem Media he has established the company as the number one resource on “WeChat” and “Ecommerce in China” within LinkedIn/Slideshare. He also writes regular editorial columns on AdAge, CampaignAsia and ClickZ. Chris got his start in Asia with ecommerce player Global Sources, moving from Canada to Hong Kong.
